I have been involved with MK Gang show now for many years originally I was in the cast before moving to the music team which I am now in the Lucky position of being the MD. I still remember what first got me involved in gang show it was going to see it with my scout group and I remember saying I Could does that. The next thing I remember is the audition and actually then joining the gang. I was very fortunate for the fact that the first show I done was at MK Theatre. Then after a few years in the cast the Previous MD became aware of my musical Interests and I was chosen to perform on stage as part of “Alexander’s Ragtime Band” In our “Ragtime item”. After that show I said I would like to move across to the music team as the Pianist. Once I was in that role I was then also responsible for finding young musicians to build the shows band I was however not so successful. So then after 2 years I then took my new role of assistant Musical Director/ Band Leader in which I done a search for musicians again this time more successful and found 3 members for the band that year. Come the 2010 show where we are today I then took my new role as Musical Director and managed to keep two people from the shows band in the previous year to come and be my Fantastic assistants in which they did and what amazing people they both are. And now as a team between the 3 of us we found a Band and now have 7 musicians in the band. Now as MD for the show I spend my time Teaching the cast the songs, Solo training, Coordinating the band & Communicating with other shows/ Departments for music & Assistance. So as MD I can now be proud of my achievements to the show.

Having been involved in scouting for many years this helped with Gang Show, with in that time I completed my young leader Training, which has helped in the management responsibilities of my role. Unfortunately now I can commit to a weekly scout meeting so am involved in network/ Fellowship. I am a Watch leader for the Bedfordshire Scout Sail Training Vessel OD1. So I spend a few week end/ Weeks onboard that taking my qualifications further and helping new people onboard.
